Some of the folks we have worked with

Remember when law firms weren’t allowed to advertise? Or when lawyer ads were just a guy in a suit standing in front of a wall of case law books? At Whitehardt, we broke the mold for attorney TV advertising by smashing cars, breaking out the pyrotechnics, working with exotic animals, and putting attorneys on top of 18-wheelers. That was over 20 years ago. Today, we offer a proven model for creating, producing, and syndicating TV ads that get your firm noticed and get you cases.

Why video advertising works for personal injury firms

Grow your law firm with video marketing services. If you want to go after the big guy, branch out to different practice areas, or increase your market share, a strong video advertising campaign can tick all the boxes. We’ve watched video change our clients’ practices for over 20 years. See how video ads and shareable social content from Whitehardt can strengthen your law firm.

Brand recognition

Over 90% of marketers agree that video content and ads increase brand awareness. Even if clients don’t need a personal injury lawyer now, they’re more likely to think of your firm when they need legal services.

Audience engagement

Video is one of the most effective ways to engage your audience. Users may scroll right past ads that feature text or static images, but high-quality videos can capture their attention while providing valuable information in an easily digestible format. Users who spend more time on your pages are more likely to convert.

Trust & credibility

Visual storytelling allows you to convey emotions and forge a personal connection with potential clients in a way that you cannot via text and images alone. Videos humanize your brand, showcase your legal knowledge, and highlight real clients and staff members that your clients may interact with.

Leads & conversions

Video advertisements are ideal for getting the phone ringing and broadcasting your message to a large audience. However, they can also shorten the sales funnel by answering common questions so that your leads are more likely to become signed cases.

Multi-channel campaigns

Adding video elements is a phenomenal way to enhance your paid and organic marketing campaigns. You can showcase video clips on your website, on YouTube and on social media sites to generate a stronger ROI.

Our in-house video production capabilities

Some video production companies rent their equipment and hire film crews by the day. That’s not Whitehardt. We own our own equipment, and we have a 100% in-house film crew and production team to deliver consistently awesome results. We’re videography nerds and gearheads. Thanks to our innovative management team, we’re always purchasing new and better products to stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and embrace new technology.

We’re continuously upgrading our cameras, lenses, lights, tripods, gimbals, microphones, and accessories to deliver the highest quality production values to each client. Higher-end equipment means higher production values for your videos and TV ads. Although we have a vast supply closet, we’re always willing to rent a special lens or add-on to get the perfect shot. We’ll do whatever it takes to complete your vision while meeting the highest production standards. Learn more about our in-house video production capabilities.

  • Green Screen Video: Our custom-built in-house green screen room and film studio in Nashville, Tennessee, is the perfect place to film your next TV ad or explainer video. With chroma key green, black, and white screen walls, we have multiple backdrop options. Projects are filmed on professional audiovisual equipment, including a full-frame 6k Sony FX9 studio camera that produces top-quality 4K and UHD footage. Our full-service film studio was built for clean audio and good acoustics, with no vibration or interference.
  • On-Location Video Shoots: Some shoots can’t be contained by walls. When it’s time to go big, we take it outside. We were the first legal advertising agency to crunch cars and put high-powered attorneys on top of big trucks, and we’re still having fun filming in junkyards and shutting down highways to get the perfect shot for our clients. With Whitehardt, nothing is impossible. We’ve filmed attorneys ads featuring snakes, alligators, bulls, and even a hungry lion. Need branding? We’ve got it. Want special effects? We’ve got you covered. Want aerial footage? We’ll put our drone to work.
  • In-Office Video Shoots: If you’re thinking about filming a TV ad or intro video in your office, our Nashville-based video production team will travel to you. We’re less than 4 hours from most major cities by air. We’ll send a small, efficient production crew to your office to film you and your team in action. We focus on efficiency because time is money. When it comes to dollars and cents, we treat our clients’ money like our own. We get everything in (and out) in one action-packed day to control your budget.

Our creative process for attorney video marketing

At Whitehardt, we have developed a proven formula for connecting with your audience based on your geographic market and preferred areas of practice. We customize our services for each client. You can select services a la carte or use us for all of your marketing and advertising campaigns. Here’s what you can expect as we take your project from planning through production and syndication.

1. Project development & scripting

Each attorney ad starts with a creative seed that germinates from a single idea. Whether you have your own plans or need help coming up with original ways to promote your legal services, we can help. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our creative directors to plan, develop, and script your TV or radio ad. We offer client-centered services to guide your law firm’s creative marketing strategy. Respect and rapport are at the core of our creative services. Our directors are ready to pick up the phone and have a meaningful conversation that moves your project forward. We’re always available to listen to your ideas.

2. The day of the shoot

When everything comes together, the magic happens. To make amazing TV ads, it takes a village where each member of our team contributes. Our production coordinator and supervisor work together to plan the entire shoot and make sure that every prop, light, and creative asset is ready to go before we start rolling. Need a tiger for your next TV ad? We have you covered. Our production supervisor pulls everything together from scheduling talent and transporting equipment to arranging creature comforts when filming on location.

Behind every great video, there’s a great cinematographer. Our senior director of video production orders any specialized equipment needed and builds a production book for each project. This frame-by-frame storyboard details every shot, camera motion, and stage position, as well as the equipment needed to make each beat count in your 30-second TV ad. We offer full catering and hospitality services, plus hair, makeup, laughs, and anything else that you need to feel comfortable during your shoot.

3. Post-production & creative services

Hollywood movies typically take 3-4 months to shoot, but they’re in post-production for 6 months to a year. While a lot of the magic happens when we’re filming in the office or on location, projects really come together during post-production. It’s not very glamorous, but it makes your ad look that way.

After we wrap the shoot, we assign post-production tasks and finalize script notes to provide valuable documentation to our video editors as they complete the finishing touches. Back on the creative side, our team trims and merges video clips, mixes audio, and adds text, logos, and branding so that your video looks and sounds its best.

Hang on! We’re not done yet. We still need to reconcile the production budget and track all expenses and receipts for accurate accounting. Post-production also sources any additional talent or footage that’s needed to complete the ad or campaign.

4. Quality control & client approval

Each project goes through an extensive internal review process to ensure full quality control and outstanding results. Our director of operations facilitates the entire internal and external approval process, including incorporating any feedback or changes from you and your team. She’s not psychic, but she has a unique way of understanding what each client wants.

Ethical advertising is extremely important to us. We ensure that each asset fully complies with ABA requirements as well as legal advertising standards established by your state bar association. We also make sure it meets any legal or technical standards set by the TV network or broadcaster. We check all the boxes before the deliverables are forwarded to you. Once we receive your approval, we’ll work on syndicating your message across your preferred channels, including website, social media, streaming services, or local TV.

Questions

Questions firms ask

Can I use client testimonials in my video ads?

Yes, in most cases, but strict legal and ethical rules apply. Testimonials must be truthful and comply with your state bar’s advertising guidelines. Some states prohibit actors from portraying clients or compensating clients for appearing in ads. Others require disclaimers about case results. Our quality assurance team stays current on state bar regulations to ensure that every video is fully compliant.

What if I’m not comfortable or good on camera?

You don’t have to be a natural to look good on camera. Our team works hard to help you feel confident when filming on location or on set. We provide time to rehearse and prepare in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Our directors and producers guide you through every step and offer constructive feedback. When appropriate, we can also use professional actors to take the pressure off you and your team.

How long should my videos be?

We produce both short- and long-form video content for attorneys. Ads and social media videos typically run between 15 seconds and 1 minute. Longer website or explainer videos that range from 2 to 5 minutes can help to educate potential clients and improve your visibility in search results.

How long will it take to see results from video marketing?

One of the main advantages of paid video ads is that you can start getting leads as soon as your video airs. Our team works efficiently to prepare your video footage and secure media placements to help you get results faster.

How much does attorney video marketing cost?

Video production usually represents a small portion of your advertising budget. The majority of costs go toward media placements to get your ads on the air. Most law firms allocate between 5% and 20% of their target revenue toward advertising, depending on whether their approach is conservative or aggressive.
